Audible fault alarm for your MCC, PLC, and control panels

Panel hooter and buzzer — 24V DC, 12V DC, 230V AC, DIN rail or surface mount

When a motor trips, a phase fails, or a process goes out of limit, your MCC panel needs to tell the operator. A flashing LED is easy to miss. A panel hooter demands attention — immediately.

Panel hooters and buzzers wire directly to your PLC digital output, relay output, or alarm contact. When the fault condition is present, the hooter sounds. When the condition clears or the operator acknowledges, it silences. Simple, reliable, and appropriate for both high-noise and quiet environments.

Buyers ask us

What is the difference between a hooter and a buzzer?
Output level and tone character. A hooter uses an electromagnetic driver to produce a continuous or pulsed tone at 90–110 dB — loud enough for a noisy panel room. A piezo buzzer produces 70–85 dB — suitable for quiet office-type environments. For most MCC and PLC panels in Indian factories, a hooter is the correct choice.
Can I connect it directly to my PLC output?
Yes — for 24V DC PLC outputs. Connect the hooter's positive terminal to the PLC digital output, negative to common. The hooter activates when the PLC output is high. For 230V AC panels, the hooter is wired to an alarm relay output.
Does it have an acknowledgement / silence function?
Most models include a push-to-silence terminal — wire a push button to this terminal to silence the hooter without clearing the fault condition. The hooter remains silent until the fault clears, then sounds again on the next fault. Configurable as latching or non-latching.
What IP rating for outdoor panels?
For outdoor distribution boards and junction boxes, use our IP55 rated field hooter — not the standard panel-mount type which is IP20 (indoor only). Always match the hooter IP rating to the enclosure IP rating.
We need 110V AC — is that available?
Yes. Available on request for 96×96mm flush-mount models. Standard stock is 24V DC and 230V AC. 110V AC requires 2–3 days additional lead time.
